New York City has followed Florida in labeling schools with single letter grades, and there is an irony in Joel Klein trying to monopolize anything, including ways of judging schools.
I have had a great time crunch this semester, and this episode is an experiment, with a speech synthesizer reading my text to reduce my need to find time to record and edit my own voice. Let me know what you think!

Copies of Accountability Frankenstein appeared in my mailbox this afternoon. Hurrah! You can buy it directly from the publisher or from Amazon.com. For small publishers, I understand that Amazon is much like Wal-Mart, and I want to make clear that I’m putting the link in for convenience, not because I prefer you use Amazon. Certainly, the publisher would prefer you use the Information Age Publishing site.
The second podcast is being delayed a bit because of other obligations, but it will be released early next week.

Now that the first (30-minute) podcast is available, I anticipate that shorter, 10-minute podcasts will be released twice a month.
